How is hemp protein made? How is it different from hemp flour, and other facts about hemp you should know.

It all starts with hemp seeds, which most often come from China, less often from Europe. We tested them all: Chinese, Romanian, Austrian, Dutch, and Lithuanian.
We were keen to find a local supplier from Europe, so we focused our search here until we found a Lithuanian farm that has been exclusively cultivating and processing hemp for years. In short, they know what they're doing!

Hemp seeds -

This is the product that appears least often in my kitchen. I've never had any ideas for them because they're quite hard, although it's worth remembering that hemp seeds have very beneficial properties and are edible. A customer's inspiration came to the rescue. To make hemp gomasio, or hemp salt, simply toast hemp seeds lightly in a pan and pound them in a mortar with Himalayan or Klodawa salt (8:1 ratio).

Shelled hemp seeds -

Without a doubt, this is my favorite hemp product, the one I always have at home. It's also, in my opinion, the tastiest. :) It's made by gently crushing the seeds until the husk cracks. Then, the core is separated from the husk, yielding two products: hulled hemp seeds and hemp fiber (husk).
I love them as an addition to smoothies and cookies, due to their amazing flavor and high protein content—almost 35%. The properties of shelled hemp seeds make them a great weight-loss aid.

Hemp bran

It's formed during the shelling of the seed; it's simply the shell itself. It's quite hard. Organic hemp bran can also be used as an addition to homemade bread or soap. Thanks to its properties, it's excellent for massaging and exfoliating the skin. Hemp husk is a natural exfoliant.

Hemp oil -

The hulled seeds are slowly pressed at low temperatures (below 42 degrees Celsius). Note: This hemp oil should not be used for frying! It should only be consumed raw, so it's typically used as an addition to salads and sauces. It's also valued for its ideal 3:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids.

However, I've gotten the most positive feedback from you about the effects this oil has on your skin. Over the years, I've met many clients who found nothing to help their skin problems, until they discovered our hemp oil and its amazing benefits. Reviews like these are probably the best recommendation! :)

This is our most popular hemp product, which has received very positive reviews from many customers. You love adding it to your protein shakes because it contains a whopping 50% highly digestible protein.

As you already know, the oil is separated during the pressing of the dehulled hemp seeds. What remains after oil production is the dehulled seed, which simply needs to be gently dried and ground into a powder.
This is how your favorite hemp protein is made. It's a simple and completely natural process, without any additives or complicated chemical processes.

Hemp flour

It has a lower protein content and higher fiber content than hemp protein because it's made by blending hemp protein with hemp husks. This gluten-free flour is most often used as a base for delicious chocolate chip cookie and muffin recipes.

Hemp leaves

The distinctive leaves from the upper part of the plant are selected and dried at a low temperature. They are often called hemp tea. They have a pleasant, slightly herbal flavor. They taste especially good with the addition of freeze-dried cranberries . Due to their calming properties, they are most often used before bed.
