Powdered into fine green powder Matcha tea has a unique taste, strong aroma and a lot of positive properties. It has been used for centuries in Japan for the traditional tea ceremony and consumption. It is a unique green tea that was cultivated by Buddhist monks a thousand years ago. It was believed to add energy, strength and fortitude. Today, when the fashion for healthy eating is spreading around the world, Matcha is gaining a second youth. It is not only brewed and drunk, but also added to many dishes.
Tea that grows in the shade
Matcha is a green tea, but sublime - it grows in the shade, thanks to which its leaves have a much higher content of green dye, i.e. chlorophyll. Each leaf is picked by hand and then steamed. Dried and ground to a fine powder. Matcha contains little caffeine, but a lot of antioxidants that are precious for our body. It also has a lot of vitamins, minerals and fiber. Interestingly, a cup of Matcha infusion is 10 times richer in all valuable substances than a cup of regular green tea.
