Hemp seeds - how to eat?

Hemp seeds, considered a superfood, are, among other things, a valuable source of complete protein. Hemp is the only plant in the world that contains a full profile of essential amino acids. The inclusion of hemp seeds in the diet is recommended mainly to people on a vegan diet who have completely given up eating animal products. You can eat hemp seeds raw as a tasty snack, as well as add to smoothies, cereals, salads, vegetable pates, spreads for sandwiches, muffins, bars, power balls, bread and dips. You can also prepare organic, homemade hemp milk with a delicate nut-sunflower flavor from hemp seeds.

How to make hemp milk?

You can prepare hemp milk from hemp seeds literally in 2 minutes. Mix 1/2 cupof shelled hemp seeds with 1.5 cups of water, then strain through a sieve lined with gauze and pour the liquid into a jar. If in this version hemp milk turns out to be too dry for you, add 2 dates or 1 tablespoon of maple syrup to the water during blending, thanks to which your hemp milk will gain a slightly sweeter and more delicate taste.

Milk thistle - how to use?

Milk thistle grains resemble sunflower seeds in taste and appearance, but they are much harder. It is therefore worth grinding whole milk thistle grains into powder in a blender or coffee grinder and in this form add to salads, oatmeal, homemade pastries, cocktails, sauces or soups.

How to roast sunflower seeds?

With sunflower seeds you can prepare a crunchy and tasty snack in a few moments. Pour a little olive oil into the pan, add sunflower seeds and a little salt, then turn on the burner. Roast the seeds for a few minutes, in the meantime shake the pan vigorously or stir the sunflower seeds with a wooden spoon. Remove the golden seeds from the pan and leave to cool. They are very hot right after roasting.

Pumpkin seed breadcrumbs - how to make?

To prepare the pumpkin seed coating for chops, first roast the seeds in a dry frying pan and then grind them into a powder in a blender or coffee grinder. Ready! Coat the cutlet in the beaten egg and ground pumpkin seeds, and then place it on a heated pan. Enjoy your meal!

Why and how to germinate seeds?

Sprouts are simply plants in the early growth phase that contain much more nutrients than a fully developed plant. During sprouting, enzymes are also released that facilitate the body's absorption of the vitamins and minerals contained in the sprouts. To grow sprouts at home, just buy a plastic sprouter or prepare a 1-liter glass jar, gauze and a rubber band. Put about 5 tablespoons of any seeds into the jar and fill them with water to about half the height of the jar. Soak the seeds in this way preferably overnight. In the morning, put gauze over the opening of the jar and secure it with a rubber band. Pour out all the water and add fresh water, then pour it out again. Place the jar with soaked seeds preferably at such an angle that the rest of the water flows freely out of the jar. This way you will avoid mold formation. Rinse the seeds with clean water 2 times a day. After 3-5 days you will be able to use your own harvest of sprouts.
