Where does the pumpkin come from
Pumpkin comes from Central America, more precisely from Mexico. It came to Europe in the 15th century thanks to Christopher Columbus. Initially treated only as an exotic curiosity, possibly an ornamental plant. The precious properties of pumpkin and its seeds were discovered 100 years later and since then it has been cultivated in almost all countries of our continent.
Pumpkin seeds, a delicious and healthy snack, but what else can I do with them
Pumpkin seeds can be eaten raw, right out of the box. In order to improve their taste and aroma, pumpkin seeds can be heated in the oven. In this case, it is best to sprinkle the seeds on a baking tray and then put them in an oven preheated to about 170 degrees C. Bake for about 15 minutes.
Pumpkin seeds are also a tasty and healthy addition to muesli, breakfast cereals, salads and salads, yoghurts and baked vegetables. They are also great as an addition or topping for baking bread, cakes or cookies.
