Does matcha contain caffeine?

Yes. Matcha contains caffeine. However, its concentration may vary depending on the type of leaves and brewing time. It is assumed that one serving of matcha, i.e. approx. 2 g, contains 50-90 mg of caffeine . For comparison, the same portion of instant coffee contains about 63 mg of caffeine.

Does matcha stimulate?

Matcha , like coffee or green tea, contains caffeine, which has stimulating properties. In matcha, however, we find up to 5 times more than in green tea leaves and a similar amount as in coffee. Matcha works much more intensively than green tea, but also more effectively than coffee. All this is due to the presence of l-theanine - an amino acid that causes the gradual release of caffeine , and at the same time has a relaxing effect on the body and helps to achieve a feeling of relaxation . Matcha can therefore be an excellent alternative to coffee , which in turn causes strong stimulation, and then a sudden drop in energy and a feeling of drowsiness. Matcha stabilizes the mood and helps to maintain concentration and mental clarity for many hours.

How to brew matcha?

Brewing matcha is very simple and takes just a few moments. Pour 1 teaspoon of matcha into a mug or traditional bowl and pour about 100 ml of hot water at about 80 ° C. Mix everything intensively with a whisk, milk frother or Japanese chasen bamboo whisk . After about 30 seconds of mixing , a thick green foam should form. Add more water as desired. The less water you add, the more intense the infusion you get. If you like such combinations, you can add milk, a vegetable drink, e.g. almond or oatmeal, or juice instead of water. If, on the other hand, you prefer cool tea, nothing prevents you from preparing cold matcha. Pour the green powder into a bottle or shaker with mineral water and shake vigorously to create a clear drink.

How to drink matcha?

Due to its stimulating properties, matcha is best drunk in the first half of the day in the amount of 1-2 glasses a day . You can prepare it according to the traditional brewing method described above or mix it with milk or a vegetable drink. A portion of matcha can also be added to cocktails, cakes and desserts. A very popular matcha drink that perfectly replaces coffee is matcha latte , i.e. tea served with frothed milk.

What is ashwagandha good for?

Ashwagandha is classified as an adaptogenic plant , containing unique organic substances that support the preservation of the body's natural balance. Ashwagandha, like other adaptogens, has a beneficial effect on the nervous system and the immune system. It can reduce stress, reduce fatigue, restore life energy and improve concentration. Drinking ashwagandha infusion is recommended for people exposed to chronic stress, suffering from chronic fatigue or insomnia, as well as people who work hard mentally.

What is the difference between earl gray and regular tea?

Earl gray tea is simply black or green tea flavored with natural bergamot oil obtained from the peel of the fruit of the bergamot tree. Bergamot oil, a rare variety of orange, gives the infusion a more refined, fresh, refreshing, floral-citrus flavor and aroma. Earl gray tea has a positive effect on well-being, has revitalizing properties and improves concentration.

How to use purges?

Cistus has been used in herbal medicine for centuries as a remedy for viral or fungal infections . It has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which supports the immune system. Cistus infusion can be prepared by pouring boiling water over a teaspoon of dried leaves and leaving it covered for 10 minutes. To notice the positive effects of use, drink 2-3 cups of purge per day for a minimum of 30 days.

Is rosehip tea good for a cold?

An infusion prepared from wild rose fruit can effectively support the fight against infection, as it has anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antibacterial properties. All this is due to the large amount of bioflavonoids, tannins, organic acids, vitamins and mineral salts contained in rose hips.

Rosehip is also an invaluable wealth of vitamin C. In the fruits of this plant we will find more vitamin C than in peppers, citrus or currants. It is a myth, however, that by drinking the infusion we provide ourselves with a dose of this substance. Vitamin C is not resistant to high temperatures and dies at 70 degrees Celsius.

How to brew hemp tea?

Hemp tea is brewed in a similar way to regular tea. Pour 1 teaspoon of dried hemp (approx. 1.5 g) into a cup and pour hot, but not boiling water, preferably at 70-80 degrees C. Steep for 5 minutes under cover, then separate the dried material from the infusion. You can sweeten the tea with honey, xylitol or erythritol. Drink one cup a day, preferably before bedtime.

Can you drink rooibos tea in the evening?

Although in colloquial language rooibos is called red tea, in reality it has nothing to do with a real tea infusion. It is obtained from the dried parts of a plant grown in South Africa called rooibos. Rooibos does not contain caffeine , so it can be consumed by adults, children and pregnant women at any time of the day, also in the evening.
