Produced in Poland in Cikowice near Krakow
We avoid large, impersonal factories. We are 100% independent, creating our true organic almond butter on our own terms. Our blanched almond butter is produced in Poland, specifically in Cikowice near Krakow. We roast, blend, and package it ourselves with care, taking full responsibility for the entire production process. We have a large oven where almonds spend exactly as much time as needed to extract maximum flavor.
You'll recognize our blanched almond butter by its blue label, placed on what we believe is the perfect packaging – a glass jar. Glass brilliantly protects food, makes it easy to scoop out every last bit, and is recyclable and reusable. We think green! Inside, you'll find our greatest pride: a maximally simple ingredient list. 100% blended almonds. Zero added sugar, salt, flavorings, colorings, palm oil, or preservatives. The almonds we use are not sulfurized in any way. Our butter tastes exactly as nature intended, always yummy!
Almonds from a unique place. Valencia, Spain
We don't make our butter from just any nuts. We only source the highest quality almonds from Valencia, Spain. Why there, when the market is overflowing with cheap raw materials from the USA? Because the difference is huge! Spanish almonds are naturally much sweeter, more buttery in taste, and lack that cardboard note often found in Californian mass-produced varieties. But better taste is only one side of the coin. Choosing Spain is our fully conscious ecological decision. California has gigantic, industrial crops that drain water in drought-affected areas and severely disrupt local ecosystems. Spanish orchards are managed sustainably, with respect for nature. Better taste and relief for the planet – you get it all in one jar with us.
True organic with a certificate – we have solid proof
Organic food is good in many ways. The right certification is the ultimate confirmation for us that what you eat is healthy for both you and our planet. Our butter is made exclusively from organic almonds grown without artificial fertilizers or chemicals. We proudly boast the organic certificate PL-EKO-03. This is not a cheap marketing gimmick, but our distinguishing feature, which many market giants lack. Because we play fair, we don't ask you to take our word for it. Tested thoroughly. Eat (and serve to children) with peace of mind
Almonds can be fickle, and poor storage on plantations can attract unwanted guests. At Ekogram, you won't find a pig in a poke! We test our butters in every possible way so you can spoon them straight from the jar without a second thought. Our blanched almond butter has been tested by an independent, accredited laboratory. We tested it for heavy metals, ochratoxin A, and aflatoxins B₁, B₂, G₁ and G₂. We also commissioned tests for the presence of salmonella, yeast, and mold. The results? Perfect. The product is clean and 100% safe. Full test results can be found here - [Laboratory tests]
Delicacy in a jar. What's the difference between light and dark butter?
Thinking of almonds, you might immediately taste delicious, crunchy nuts... Imagine that same essence now enclosed in a smooth, creamy mass. That's Ekogram blanched almond butter! Looking for similar products, you'll mainly encounter two varieties: white and brown. Wondering about the differences? Let us explain!
Production process and appearance: Light almond butter has a creamy color. We make it from blanched almonds – previously roasted and peeled of their brown skin. Brown almond butter is darker because we blend it from whole almonds, including the skin.
Taste and texture: White butter has a super-delicate texture and a very subtle, naturally sweet taste. It's velvety and smooth. Brown, on the other hand, has a more intense, nutty character, and due to the ground skin, you'll feel a slightly granular texture in it.
Nutritional value: Both types of butter provide our bodies with essential minerals, full of protein and healthy fats. Brown butter, thanks to the retained skin, has a bit more fiber. In almonds, you'll find as many as 10 minerals: calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium.
The final decision depends solely on your palate. Looking for a mild addition to desserts? Go for white! Prefer a nutty-almond kick? Choose brown. Or even better, try both!
Oil on top? That's not a flaw! It's proof of 100% naturalness
You open the jar and a layer of oil has collected on top? Great! That's not a flaw at all. It's physical proof that our butter is made from blended almonds, pure and simple. We don't add any extra ingredients (like palm oil) or chemical emulsifiers that would keep everything together in a solid mass. Separation of the butter is a completely natural process. Before you start eating, insert a long spoon into the jar and vigorously stir the contents until the butter returns to its ideal, smooth form.
Briefly about storage: Our butter has a shelf life of 12 months from the production date. How should it be stored? Definitely at room temperature, both before and after opening! The refrigerator will cause the natural fats to stiffen and the butter to become a bit thicker. A kitchen cabinet will be ideal.

Experiment in the kitchen and remember – with us, you'll always eat yummy!
Peanuts vs. almonds
Standing in front of the cupboard, you wonder: classic peanut butter or our almond butter? Time for a little botanical curiosity! Peanuts are actually... legumes, related to peas or beans. An almond, on the other hand, is a noble seed from inside a drupe. How does this change things in the kitchen? Almond butter is much milder and doesn't dominate a dish with its flavor as much as peanut butter.
Did you know that...? The almond tree belongs to the rose family, meaning it is a very close cousin to peaches, apricots, and cherries. That's why almonds pair so well with fruits and homemade jams!
