Organic Chamomile – Whole Flower Heads
Organic chamomile from certified organic farms. In the package, you'll find whole dried heads of common chamomile, not the finely crushed tea leaves usually found in tea bags. You can see exactly what you're brewing, and the aroma stays where it belongs – in the flowers.
One ingredient and nothing else. That's what real chamomile looks like 🙂
Floral aroma, mild taste
Chamomile tea has an intense floral aroma and a mild, slightly bitter taste. Naturally, it contains no caffeine, so it's perfect at any time of day – morning, after lunch, and in the evening when it's already too late for coffee or black tea.
How to brew chamomile?
Pour one heaped teaspoon of flower heads with a cup of boiling water (approx. 250 ml). Steep covered for 5–10 minutes, then strain.
Why cover it? Chamomile's distinctive aroma comes from essential oils, which easily evaporate with the steam. A saucer or mug lid keeps them in the tea. Chamomile brewed for a shorter time will be milder, while longer brewing will result in a fuller and distinctly bitter taste. Find your perfect time.
How to use chamomile?
- Classic tea. Hot, on its own or with a teaspoon of honey – preferably added when the tea has cooled slightly.
- With lemon. A slice of lemon will add a refreshing citrus note to the tea.
- Iced. Chilled tea with ice cubes makes a refreshing, caffeine-free frozen drink for warm days.
- Lemonade base. Mix chilled tea with lemon juice, a little honey, and a few mint leaves. Ready.
- Tea blends. The flower heads are perfect for homemade blends, e.g., with organic peppermint or organic rooibos.
- In the kitchen. Strong tea will add a floral aroma to homemade syrups, milk-based desserts, or cake frostings.
A 100 g package is enough for dozens of cups – the flower heads are very light, so 100 g is really a lot.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place. The bag has a resealable closure – close it tightly after each use so the flower heads don't lose their aroma or absorb moisture.
Organic certification, which means good for you and the planet
Our chamomile is an organic farming product with the PL-EKO-03 certificate. The flower heads come from certified organic farms in Egypt, cultivated without synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. The ingredient list has one item – and that's exactly what you have in your cup.
A fun fact about chamomile
The Greeks called this plant "earth apple" because of the apple scent of the flowers – hence its English name: chamomile. And how can you tell real common chamomile from similar plants? Just cut the flower head lengthwise. Chamomile has a cone-shaped bottom that is hollow inside, while the strikingly similar scentless mugwort is solid. That is THE REAL CHAMOMILE
