Our processing plant - this is where Ekogram nut butters are made

We made the first 100% peanut butter in Poland. Today, we produce it in Cikowice near Krakow – in our fourth processing plant, as we outgrew the previous three. We're already expanding this one too.

Ekogram is the first producer of 100% peanut butter in Poland. We started at a time when we had to explain what it even was and why it only contained peanuts. Today, we operate in the newest processing plant of its kind in the country – we want to show you inside. No embellishments – this is simply how it looks.

  • First in PolandWe introduced 100% peanut butter to the Polish market.
  • Everything in-houseWe roast, grind, pour, and label ourselves. Zero subcontractors, zero bulk tanks.
  • We produce from tested nutsOur pastes are tested in an accredited laboratory for aflatoxins and heavy metals. We display the results on the product page; we don't hide them.
  • BIO CertificateUnder the supervision of the PL-EKO-03 certifying body (Cobico). All Ekogram products are from certified organic farms.

This is where it all happens

Cikowice, a dozen kilometers from Krakow. From the outside – a quiet building where our cars park every morning. Inside – a roaster, grinders, a bottling line, a labeling machine. And a scent that can be felt right at the door.

The three previous processing plants taught us what works and what only hinders. We built this one with a single assumption: the entire journey of a nut – from sack to sealed jar – must take place in one location, before our eyes. This way, we know everything about every jar: from which batch of nuts it was made and when it was roasted.

Roaster: the heart of the operation

The taste is born here. A raw nut doesn't have much to say - only after roasting does it begin to smell so good that it's hard to pass by indifferently. We dry roast: without oil, without salt, without additives. Just hot air and time.

Each nut is roasted differently. Different time, different temperature, different patience. This selection took us years, and we are still improving it. You can't just set it once and go for coffee: someone is always at the roaster, watching, smelling, and tasting. The best position in the company. Seriously.

Grinder: where nuts turn into paste

The secret to our recipe? Nuts. End of list. No palm oil, sugar, salt, thickeners, or flavorings. Roasted nuts go into the grinder and come out as a smooth paste. The whole magic is in the grinding – and the fact that we don't add anything that could spoil it.

Below is that moment: the paste flows from the grinder into a container and is immediately ready for bottling. No intermediaries, no tankers, no ready-made base from a supplier. From here to your jar is just a few meters.

Filling, capping, labeling

Fresh paste goes straight to the line. The machine measures the portion, fills the jar, and caps it – so quickly that the paste doesn't have time to cool down after grinding.

At the end, the labeling machine – and the jar looks just like one from the shelf. That batch number is our memory: from it, we can recreate what nuts and when each jar was made.

Warehouse: jars ready for shipment

Last stop before your home. Cartons on pallets ready for dispatch: to couriers, to our store at Plac Na Stawach in Krakow, to Rossmann shelves. The same jars. We try to ensure they don't stay here long. The fresher the paste, the better. Simple.

Why are we showing you all this?

Because you are buying directly from the producer. We want you to know what that means for us: our own roaster, our own grinders, our own bottling and labeling line. One building, one team.

We are the first producer of 100% nut butter in Poland, and after all these years, we still do it all ourselves, from the first nut to the last label. If you have a question about any stage, write to kontakt@ekogram.pl, we'll be happy to tell you more. And if you prefer to check the result immediately: always delicious.
