Freeze-dried fruit or freeze-dried meat are becoming more and more popular, especially among people interested in a healthy lifestyle. However, it is a relatively new product on the market today, and therefore few people know what the characteristics of freeze-dried food are and what nutritional and health value the foods subjected to this method have. So let's see what its strengths are!

Freeze drying, which is also called freeze drying, is an unusual technological process in which water is removed from the frozen product. The condensation process is also omitted during the procedure. Freeze drying has existed since the first half of the 20th century. An interesting fact is that the first product created by this technique was freeze-dried coffee (more precisely, it was produced by the Americans in 1938).

So what are the advantages of this highly innovative method?

First of all, it is a great way to preserve any type of food. It effectively protects various products against deterioration, thus preserving their health and nutritional values. There is no loss of vitamins, minerals and other biologically active ingredients essential to human health during the entire freeze-drying procedure . The most common processed products in stores are freeze-dried fruit and vegetables.

Freeze-dried food, including fruit subjected to a given method, is undoubtedly part of a healthy diet, but it is quite expensive and not everyone can afford to eat it often. However, it is worth saving on sweets containing harmful sugar and buying healthy fruit with an extremely high nutritional value. They will be a particularly good solution for travelers when there is not always access to "normal" food. The freeze-dried food will then be an invaluable food providing a daily dose of essential nutrients for our body.

Due to the specificity of the entire production process, freeze-dried fruits do not lose their valuable properties and at the same time retain their original shape and color. Another advantage of freeze-dried fruits is that they can be stored for several years without deteriorating . They are a great addition to both dry and rehydration. They are perfect for both hot and cold dishes.
