Organic Golden Berries Physalis
Physalis - discover the benefits of the Peruvian berry
Edible physalis is a unique, though little-known berry in Poland. It naturally occurs in Peru, and its unusual taste and health properties were appreciated by the ancient Incas. Physalis in health food stores can also be found under the name Peruvian berry.
Physalis - a valuable relic of the Inca culture
Peruvian physalis ( physalis ) is a small bush that grows naturally in South America. In South American cultures, it has been used almost always as a valuable ingredient, both in the kitchen and in natural medicine. The fruit of the physalis resemble our native berries in size, but they have a sunny, golden color. They taste like a combination of orange and tomato. They are light, sweetish with a delicate hint of sourness. The indigenous inhabitants of Peru revere physalis with great reverence, because they believe that it is a relic of the cultivation of the Incas. How it really was, we will probably never know - one thing is certain, the physalis spread over time to other continents and today it can be found even in Australia, the Caribbean or the Galapagos Islands. It also grows in Poland.
Bars, cookies, ice cream with nuts and dried fruit
Dried physalis fruits are perfect as a component of grain bars and homemade muesli. It is enough to add a few handfuls of physalis to the mixture of grains, bran and dried fruit, and the finished dish will certainly gain in taste and aroma. Physalis also perfectly harmonizes with meat, it can be used as an ingredient of sweet sauces for meat dishes. Dried fruit will also be an excellent ingredient in cakes and cookies with nuts and dried fruit, as an addition to ice cream and other desserts, and for nutritional fruit cocktails. Its use is practically unlimited, it all depends on taste preferences and taste.

Pyszne do owsianki
