Two frying fats worth keeping on hand in the kitchen. Clarified ghee butter gives dishes a buttery, slightly nutty flavor, while odorless coconut oil fries neutrally – without the smell or taste of coconut. Both handle high heat well, so they work great for scrambled eggs, meat, vegetables, and pancakes. Both products in the set are organically certified.
The set includes:
- 1x organic clarified ghee butter 500 g
- 1x organic odorless coconut oil 900 ml
When to use ghee and when to use coconut oil?
Choose clarified ghee butter when you want the fat to add flavor to your dish. It pairs well with scrambled eggs, omelets, steaks, sautéed vegetables, and curry. Its smoke point is approximately 235°C.
Odorless coconut oil is perfect when the flavor should come only from the ingredients: for cutlets, breaded fish, potato pancakes, or fritters. It can also replace butter or margarine in baking. Its smoke point is approximately 200°C.
How to fry without burning the fat?
- Place food in preheated fat that is not yet smoking – this way, it will absorb less of it.
- Do not add fresh fat while frying.
- Do not reuse fat that you have already fried with.
Assuming one tablespoon of fat per pan, the set will last for about 100 frying sessions.
