A few words about olive oil

Extra virgin olive oil, cold pressed (extra virgin), with a natural yellow color and a pleasant aroma of fresh olives. With a low level of acidity. Thanks to cold pressing, it retains all the organoleptic properties of fresh olives.
Olive oil has been known and used all over the world for many centuries. However, it is the most popular
in Spain, Portugal, Italy and of course Greece. In these countries, there is also the highest consumption of olive oil per person per year. It amounts to about 1 liter per month. In Poland, the consumption of olive oil is also 1 liter per 1 person ... but unfortunately annually.

Why should olive oil appear in our kitchen more often?

Olive oil is a natural vegetable oil containing approximately 75% oleic acid (omega-9 monounsaturated fatty acid).

It is recommended to consume 2 - 3 tablespoons of olive oil daily.

Olive oil should especially be used by smokers. Drinking a small amount of olive oil (1 tablespoon, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach) or rinsing the mouth with it, helps to cleanse the accumulating nicotine deposits. It is for this reason, and of course not only for this reason, that olive oil has been considered a symbol of beauty and healthy life for centuries.

Olive oil in the kitchen

Organic olive oil perfectly emphasizes the taste of prepared dishes, both those cooked, baked and fried. It does not penetrate deep into fried foods, while providing them with an appropriate crunchiness. In Mediterranean countries, olive oil is very often used instead of margarine or butter.

If you want to use olive oil for frying, remember about the right temperature. In the first phase of frying, the oil should not be overheated because it burns at slightly lower temperatures than other commonly known oils. The smoke point for olive oil is 225 degrees C. However, it is best to fry at a temperature of about 180 degrees C. Too low frying temperature causes fat to soak into prepared dishes, while too high - the formation of harmful compounds on their surface.
It is worth noting that frying in olive oil, and especially in extra virgin oil, is rather a waste of it, because at such high temperatures it loses all its valuable nutritional properties. So it's best to use olive oil cold.

It is hard to imagine rice dishes, spaghetti, seafood, innumerable salads and salads, vegetables (fresh and hot) and fish dishes without olive oil. It is also recommended for frying scrambled eggs or omelettes, stewing mushrooms, as well as for making delicious puree and cream soups. Indispensable for various types of meat marinades.

Another use of olive oil

Organic extra virgin olive oil, also works great as a natural body cosmetic. It can be used as a lotion, applied directly to the skin of our body, which will give it a healthy look and also have a soothing effect in the case of minor irritations. In order to lubricate it properly, warm baths with a small amount of olive oil are recommended. As a result, our skin will not only be properly nourished, but also smoother to the touch.

How best to store extra virgin olive oil

Organic olive oil should be kept away from light, preferably in a dark and cool place. We do not store the oil in the refrigerator because too low temperature may cause it to solidify. On the other hand, exposing the oil to light or leaving it in a warm place makes our oil go rancid.

We encourage you to buy high-quality olive oil at an attractive price in our online store.

Oliwa z oliwek

Wsadziliśmy więc szybko naszą oliwę lodówki i... oliwa zastygła :)

Skusiła mnie niższa cena, spróbowałam i polecam.
