Arrowroot also has a very beneficial effect on the gastrointestinal tract - it is not only easily digestible, but above all supports the development of its appropriate bacterial flora. How to use cane arrowroot in the kitchen?

Cane arrowroot flour is extremely versatile in use, it can be successfully used to replace corn or potato starch in the kitchen. It is tasteless and odorless, so unlike other flours, it does not change the taste of the food to which it is added.
It is suitable for preparing both sweet and salty dishes. Maranta can be successfully used:

  • When baking cookies, cakes, bread. Keeping in mind that in baked goods you should add it in the amount of ten percent of other flour.
  • For making homemade puddings, pudding, jelly or jelly.
  • For thickening soups and sauces.
  • In homemade ice cream.
  • In addition to thickening the dishes, arrowroot will allow such dishes as tofu, seitan or tempeh to obtain unprecedented crunchiness. It is enough to make a coating of cane arrowroot flour, and then fry in vegetable oil to get the desired effect.
