Baking soda, known as sodium bicarbonate, is a white, odorless powder that has many uses for both health and nutrition and in the household. It is always worth having it at hand, because it is a great replacement for many other products.
The cleansing effect of baking soda
In terms of health, baking soda primarily has a cleansing effect. Its unique properties were already used by our grandmothers as a panacea for many ailments. Baking soda and lemon juice are a perfect combination, they have an alkalizing effect on the body, i.e. eliminate all the effects of acidification. It will be similar in the case of cooking cauliflower or broccoli, the smell of which during thermal processing is not very pleasant. If you put a teaspoon of baking soda into the pot, these vegetables will retain their natural color and at the same time emit less unpleasant smell.
