Include pine nuts in your daily diet

Pine nuts are nothing more than the edible seeds of several species of pine, in particular pine, which grows in natural conditions on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea. Their taste and properties were already appreciated by primitive people who - before they discovered hunting - fed on the gifts of nature. For them, pine nuts were filling, caloric and rich in nutrients.

Pine nuts full of sweetness and nutritional value

Pine nuts have a delicate, sweet taste, and in shape and taste they are very similar to almonds.

Hearty and tasty pine snack

The unique taste of pine nuts means that they can be eaten in handfuls, just like other nuts. However, it is worth remembering that such a snack is as healthy as it is caloric. Eating the entire package at once is definitely not a good idea for people who are fit or are on a diet. But nothing is lost - pine nuts go well with many dishes, both hot and cold. Therefore, it is worth making sure that they are a permanent ingredient in your home pantry or on the shelf with food additives.

They emphasize the taste of sweet and spicy dishes

Pine nuts taste great sweet, spicy or in sour dishes. They can be added whole or after being ground or roasted in a pan. They are perfect for sauces, pasta dishes, sweet or spicy salads and traditional Italian pesto. A simple vegetable salad with grains and nuts is a great way to snack or for dinner. Dice tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, peppers, mix everything in a bowl and drizzle with a tablespoon of olive oil. Sprinkle a handful of pine nuts, sesame, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds into your salad. You can choose the seeds freely, depending on your preferences. It all tastes great, and the taste of the dish is emphasized by pine nuts.

Peanut pasta sauce

You can also use pine nuts to create a light, typically Mediterranean spaghetti sauce. All you need is a few dried tomatoes, a handful of peanuts, a tablespoon of olive oil, dried basil and pepper and salt to taste. Chop all ingredients and mix to create a thick paste. Serve with al dente cooked pasta.

Pini do pesto!

Polecam, zwłaszcza do robienia hand-made pesto! Zwłaszcza teraz wiosenne pesto z pokrzywy z orzeszkami pini i drożdżami nieaktywnymi (jako ser :) ).
