Regular consumption of black beans, thanks to the insoluble fiber, supports the functioning of our digestive tract, especially the large intestine.
Black beans, thanks to the high content of anthocyanins (flavonoids, which give plants a red or blue color, are found, among others, in black currants, blueberries or dark grapes), have strong antioxidant properties, catching free radicals. They protect the body against premature aging and degeneration of internal organs. 100g of black beans contains 214mg of anthocyanins!

Rich in folic acid and protein, it is recommended for everyone on a vegetarian or vegan diet. A natural source of calcium, magnesium, potassium and iron, ingredients necessary for the proper development and functioning of our body. Due to the high content of zinc, black beans are recommended for men, because zinc is essential in the process of testosterone synthesis.

Black beans, thanks to a large amount of antioxidants, also have a great influence on the work of the brain. Therefore, it is especially recommended during periods of increased mental effort.

How to prepare black beans and what dishes you can use them for

To shorten the cooking time of the black beans and make them easier to digest, it is advisable to soak them first. This can be done in two ways, namely:
Pour 1 cup of black beans with 2 cups of water. Cook for about 2 minutes. After this time, remove from heat, cover and leave for 2 hours, or pour water on black beans and leave for 8 hours (or overnight), preferably in the refrigerator to prevent fermentation.

Before cooking, black beans should be thoroughly rinsed under running water. Cook over low heat, covered, for 50 - 60 minutes or until the desired softness is achieved.

Black beans go perfectly with rice, they are a great addition to soups, salads and pasta. It is also an indispensable ingredient of buritto, hummus, chilli, traditional bean soups, quesadillas and pastes.

Fasola czarna

Zdrowa i smaczna. Należy ją solidnie wymoczyć i dosyć długo gotować, żeby była bardziej strawna, ale warto. Polecam.
