Taking care of health and a balanced diet, we care about both the taste of the dishes and the visual ones - it is nice when the meal looks interesting on the plate. We should not forget that first we "eat with our eyes". Besides, preparing meals for household members, guests are pleasantly surprised by something new, exotic and unique, and to this tasty and aromatic. So if you get bored with classic pork chop with cabbage and potatoes, minced meatballs, bigos and żurek, we recommend the quinoa.
Seeking new, healthy flavors we present a quinoa called Quinoa. We have already written about its qualities many times - for example HERE (https://drpelc.pl/blog/11_komosa-ryzowa-dla-poczatkujacych). In addition to presenting the plant itself and its nutritional value, we give three recipes to prepare it.
What is quinoa?
Quinoa is an annual plant belonging to the family of komosowaty or szarłowatych, the same as well-known spinach or beets. Quinoa has been known to mankind for thousands of years. It was the basis of the diet of the South American Indian - in the Inca country, where it replaced corn. It has been cultivated for five thousand years in Latin America.
Why is it worth eating Quinoa?
Quinoa fruits contain forty-eight percent starch, eighteen percent proteins, four to nine percent unsaturated fatty acids and antioxidants. It is also a rich source of calcium, phosphorus, iron, vitamins E and B and mineral salts. Some varieties also contain saponins, which are bitter in taste and require prior to the preparation of rinsing. Komosa is characterized by a low glycemic index is therefore an ideal basis for food for diabetics and slimming people. Quinoa also fantastically supplements the diet of breastfeeding women, as it supports the lactation process.

100 grams of young nettle

2 cloves of garlic
100 grams of smoked bacon
We start the preparation of the dish from slicing the bacon to the ankle and frying it crisply. We add chopped garlic. After a short frying, we add washed and chopped quinoa and nettle (only leaves). All together should be freshened up until the vegetation is softened - it has to be bloated as it wilted. At the same time, cook the groats until it is soft. Then combine and mix together, flavoring with salt and pepper. Fakka should be administered warm.

4 tablespoons of lemon juice
3 finely chopped tomatoes
1 cut into small pieces of cucumber
2 chopped chives with chives
2 grated carrots
1 glass of chopped parsley
We pour quinine and a pinch of salt into the boiling water, boiling it over low heat for a quarter of an hour. Then you should cool and scarify with a fork. To save time during these activities, mix in a large bowl of olive oil, sea salt, lemon juice, tomato, cucumber, carrot and parsley. All of this is then combined with cooled quinoa and we can serve for consumption.
Quinoa with watermelon and bitter chocolate
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Serving for two people
½ kilogram of peeled watermelon with removed seeds
30 grams of dark chocolate
30 grams of unsalted roasted almonds
400 grams of non-fat yogurt

Cut the watermelon into a small cube. We grind the chocolate on the grater into small chips. Two pieces of watermelon, chocolate and almonds are put into pre-prepared two dishes (for example decorative glasses). We pour yogurt all over - up to one third of the dish. Repeat the procedure taking care not to fill the glass the second time. At the end, put the rest of the watermelon, chocolate and almonds decorating the seeds of a quinoa. Dessert this dessert prepared with a long dessert spoon.
